2020 Training Courses

BSides Columbus is partnering with a number of great people for BSides Columbus 2020 to deliver an outstanding lineup of pre-conference training. With that being said, trainers will host their own registration for their classes that is separate from the BSides Columbus conference registration page. We'll post the links to their registration pages here as soon as the classes are announced.

This class is a two day training course designed to bring IT and Cyber Engineers up to speed when it comes to handling and investigating incidents faced in the real world. This practical overview will touch on a broad range of topics from incident handling processes to malware analysis, and many more. The course is technical in nature, but designed for general IT pros to come up to speed on specific IR processes.

Master offensive and defensive OSINT in this two day bootcamp brought to you by some of the leaders in the field. This hands-on course will teach you how to use bleeding edge tools to identify vulnerabilities, adversaries, and threats to your enterprise. All participants will receive a VM pre-loaded with tools, as well as a course workbook so that skills learned can be refreshed at a glance.

This workshop will be run by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Cybersecurity Advisor for Ohio and a representative from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Both presenters strive to help strengthen the cyber resilience and security of the nation’s critical infrastructure. Their previous work experiences will be used to help make the content applicable to all attendees.

 

The Cyber Resilience Workshop is a four-hour collaborative session and provides the opportunity for professionals to learn together. Through the workshop, attendees will be introduced to cyber resilience concepts and capability-building activities in key performance areas such as cybersecurity, IT operations, and business continuity. It addresses operational risk management and emergency/crisis management. This workshop is available free of charge!
